To make an appointment obtain a current referral from your GP or specialist. Please get your GP's team to either fax to 02 9966 5871 or you are welcome to email this to info@drsamra.com.au. Prof Samra's reception team will contact you once Prof Samra has reviewed all the documentation to organise an initial consultation.
Referrals are available from most GP clinics and other medical specialists.
The referral will also enable you to be eligible for a Medicare rebate on certain services. For additional information on referrals please contact Prof Samra's Greenwich practice.
Reception and booking staff are happy to advise you on this when making a booking
Please arrive a little before your scheduled appointment time as there can be some documentation or other matters to attend to before your appointment.
As a service to our patients, patients do not need to worry or bring with them any documentation. As your referring doctor would have provided all relevant investigations at the time of when your referral was sent and all relevant information would have been retrieved when making your initial appointment to see Prof Samra with the practice.
When you attend your appointment you will be greeted by our friendly reception staff upon arriving and your details will be recorded.
Our comfortable waiting room has refreshments while you wait to be seen for your appointment.
Mobile phone SMS or text messages are sent from our computer, if you do not intend to keep your appointment you do not need to respond.
The text message also has the location of your appointment at the end of the message.
Patients without mobile phones need to phone the rooms to confirm one working day prior to the appointment.
Alternately you can email a confirmation to the practice.
We may require a credit card on file to reserve your appointment.
If you don’t have your credit card on file, you may only be allowed to come in on a walk-in basis if available.
Late Arrivals Make it Difficult for Everyone
We do understand that circumstances may arise unexpectedly, however, late arrivals tend to compromise the punctuality of service we are able to provide to you, as well as our other patients.
We do maintain a relatively tight schedule, and we make every attempt to begin your appointment at the time scheduled.
If you arrive late we reserve the right to reschedule or reduce the length of the consultation or procedure to ensure that their next scheduled appointment does not have to be put behind.
If you believe you will be late it would be appreciated if you could call ahead and advise the reception as alternative arrangements may be possible.
Multiple person bookings and multiple service booking (3 or more services) may require a credit card to be placed on file to book the appointments.
Your credit card will be charged if your appointment is canceled within 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
This includes late or no-show appointments
Due to the difficulty of filling last-minute cancellations, we respectfully request 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend.
If this request is not fulfilled, it will be necessary to charge a $50 fee for missed appointments or last-minute cancellations.
Please understand that we consider this a last resort, with the real motivating factor being our concern for the quality of service we are able to provide to you, and to our other valued patients.
For unattended appointments without notice it will be necessary to charge a $50 fee.
Like last minute cancellations we respectfully request 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend.
